Assembledge+ has successfully renovated a one-story estate complex in Los Angeles, right along the beautiful Mulholland Drive in the hills of Bel-Air. Stoneridge Residence has an area of 11,781 square feet sitting on a unique perch site overlooking the San Fernando Valley, renovations reconnecting residences with the site through large restructured openings and comprehensive landscape efforts. Surrounded by vast grass and native plants, the back of the backyard is an Olympic-sized infinity-edge pool and Barragan inspired poured-in-place cantilevered concrete water fountain.
The second floor is added facing the backyard and the San Fernando Valley brings together a building made of many brick faces. Design aims to preserve and celebrate the original exterior and equipped with a large expanse of glass and black steel supporting elements are integrated carefully with the volume of house bricks to achieve a dynamic and unified composition.
Interior spaces are affiliated with a focus on wood and stone elements. On the ground floor there is a stunning kitchen, living room and home theater. A custom-designed rough-sawn lumber staircase with corrugated walls to give the illusion of windblown curtains leading to the upper floor provided for the guest bedroom and master bedroom of 2100 square feet.
