Also make sure your lawn slopes no more than 1 to 2% and gets a good mix of sun and shade to encourage optimal growth and recovery of your lawn. You also need to be aware of drainage issues, because otherwise you may end up playing on a wet pitch. Another idea, use synthetic grass which is the most expensive option, but is durable in all weather and seasons and does not require maintenance or watering.
