Elegantly situated and styled in a beautiful East Anglian landscape, on the border of a functioning farm in Suffolk, England. Norm Architects has successfully completed the Pavilion House as a real inside and out construction. Featuring interior shapes and materials all of which have serenity and simplicity, each room offers a different view of the outside from every angle.
The architecture has a certain humility, it truly characterizes the countryside with a brilliant Scandinavian touch. All parts are in harmony with the interior style and do not try to compete with it, but rather frame it in a stunning form.
Pavilion House is all about transparency. Nature plays an important role here as part of the interior. With a smooth and minimized steel construction, wooden window frames and vertical cladding in local larch that match the existing structure on site. This creates a harmonious combination of old and new buildings. The exterior of the windows and the roof fascia planks in dark gray carbon metal make the steel as smooth and discrete as possible so that the wooden character of the house becomes the dominant expression. Take a tour of the Pavilion House with a magnificent view of nature!
