This apartment using futuristic stairs which I had never seen before. Located in Frejgatan, Stockholm, and was designed by Andreas Martin-Lof. From the Architect. The approach to the renovation of this 1900s multi-level apartment in Stockholm’s Vasastan began with a careful analysis of the building’s history and spatial qualities. Andreas Martin-Löf Arkitekter then sought to develop architectural potential by opening up spaces, adding new architectural elements such as staircases, and introducing a clean, calm and unifying interior design approach which would compliment the owner’s belongings. As in all projects, Andreas Martin-Löf Arkitekter looked for innovative ways to add a new architectural layer by working sensitively with the existing fabric, while also being thoughtful and imaginative about how the client could use each space.
